Darrin is accountable for leading the direction and strategy for Enterprise Technology, including operations, infrastructure, application development and cybersecurity. He reports to Kristi Fox, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.

Experience

Darrin joined Securian Financial in October 2023. His top priority is to operationalize our transformational investments by leveraging new and existing technologies to grow our businesses. Darrin’s experience leading technology teams in highly-regulated financial services companies while driving continuous improvement, combined with his proven leadership capabilities, will advance Enterprise Technology’s contributions to Securian Financial’s success.

Darrin has an extensive background leading technology functions at financial service companies, including GE Capital, U.S. Bank and Aon. His most recent position was with Aon as Chief Information Officer, Commercial Risk and Affinity. Darrin is looking forward to helping Securian Financial maximize our investments in technology using his deep technical experience and cross-company collaboration to continuously improve business outcomes.

Community

Darrin is an active member of the Twin Cities community. He serves on the board of directors for Rêve Academy, an organization investing in students by combining immersive coursework with real-world experience. Darrin also serves on the board of directors for Tradition Capital Bank and is a member of the Minneapolis CIO Forum.
